Accredited by the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE), Beacon College International School provides quality education for three key stages of every child's development namely the Early Years stage, Primary and Secondary school levels. Key Stages refer to the sets of skills and knowledge a student is aiming to develop at a certain stage in their education. We document the learning process by using portfolios. In these portfolios, students place samples of their work throughout the year. Parents thus have an idea of classroom work, standards of achievement and how their children's skills are developing.
The Foundation Stage at Beacon College International School provides young children from 9 months to 5 years of age with the best possible start in life. It is made up of creche, nursery and reception. Here, children experience a safe, warm and happy environment where they can thrive and learn through play.
This helps them develop their language skills, emotions, creativity, and social as well as intellectual skills.
Key Stage 1 includes students at 5 to 7 years of age. The core subjects for this stage are Mathematics, English and Science.
Key Stage 2 is designed for students aged 8 to 10 years. The core subjects studied are English, Mathematics and Science. Literacy skills acquired include reading for meaning and learning how to produce reports, recounts and stories in writing.
Key Stage 3 involves 11 to 13-year-olds. In Key Stage 3 students are taught by subject teachers. Students develop greater independence and ability for critical thinking at this stage.
Key Stage 4 includes students aged 14-16 and is the final stage of our secondary school programme. Students choose from a range of subjects, which they study for two years before sitting for their International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) exams.

Extra-curricular activities are carried out through a number of clubs, each with a teacher as a Patron. Every student is assigned a club which he or she participates in fully throughout the term. Clubs may be changed every term. The diversity of extra-curricular activities available at BCIS ensures that students improve social skills, develop cultural integration, hone talent and expression, and boost self-confidence.
